- Details: These are amber wine glasses and feature the beautiful Park Lane pattern from Colony Glass. There are dots/ovals and arches as well as a unique square base and a gorgeous, round, faceted short stem. This pattern is very similar to the Cape Cod pattern from Imperial Glass, and sometimes gets confused with one another. These are pressed glass, part of an extensive collection of glassware made by Colony Glass and later continued by Indiana Glass Co (both part of the larger Lancaster Colony Corp). These are NOT depression glass, were manufactured from the late 1950's to the 1970's. There are 7 glasses, this shipment will need a lot of packaging to arrive safely, shipping will be high, please keep that in mind at check-out. These were meant for serving wine, however, they also make excellent juice and dessert glasses. Please note size, these are short wine glasses. Perfect for your Thanksgiving table or Fall Get Togethers.

The Park Lane pattern was introduced in 1957. Colony was a brand name from Indiana Glass, not an independent glass company. In 1957 The Lancaster Lens Company became the Lancaster Glass Corporation when they acquired a controlling interest in Indiana Glass. The Colony brand was used to market the glass produced by Indiana Glass. In 1962, as part of a reorganization, Indiana Glass Company became a subsidiary of Lancaster Colony Corporation. Under the Colony name they issued many different patterns, some of the best known include: Harvest, Park Lane, Crown / Kings Crown, Whitehall and others. Lancaster Colony Corporation closed the Indiana Glass plant in Dunkirk, Indiana, in 2002. Today, the Colony brand is still recognized and highly collected.
