International Silver Company, founded in Connecticut in 1898 as a merger of several established American silversmithing firms, was one of the dominant names in American silverplate through most of the 20th century. The Camille pattern is a study in Victorian-influenced ornamentation: etched floral baskets, scrollwork, and small groupings of flowers repeated around the scalloped rim. A small dent (photographed) and minor surface scratching and discoloration are consistent with age — as with all used silverplate, it would benefit from a polish before use or display.
Beautiful as a butler's tray, a barware centerpiece, a vanity display for perfumes and crystal, or hung on a wall as a decorative statement.
