The RC backstamp — Royal Crockery — was a Noritake brand created specifically for the India and Southeast Asian export markets, registered in 1933 and discontinued after 1946. That narrow thirteen-year window makes these plates genuinely dateable, and the bone china body makes them noticeably lighter and more translucent than typical earthenware of the era.
