Some pieces are hard to photograph — not because they're plain, but because the camera can't quite catch everything happening in the light. This covered vegetable bowl is one of those. Pink and red roses tumble across bright white bone china alongside tiny bluish-purple flowers, leaves shifting from green to blue to golden yellow, all framed by gold at the rim, the foot, the handles, and the lid finial. It is, quite simply, one of the most beautiful pieces we've had.

The RC backstamp — standing for Royal Crockery — was a Noritake brand created specifically for the India and Southeast Asian market, registered in India and used from 1933 through approximately 1946. Pattern N1427 dates from this pre-war window, making it genuinely rare. We carry additional pieces from this pattern if you'd like to build a set.

A breathtaking centerpiece for a formal table, a showpiece in a china cabinet, or a treasured addition to a serious Noritake collection. Display it filled with seasonal blooms, or use it as the crown jewel of a curated vintage tablescape.
