Pink and red roses with tiny bluish-purple flowers, leaves that shift from green to blue to golden yellow — all set against the brightest white bone china, with gold on the verge and rim. Pattern N1427 is rare, and the plates themselves arrive in remarkable condition considering they are nearly a century old.
The RC backstamp is the tell: Royal Crockery was a Noritake brand created specifically for the India and Southeast Asian markets, registered in India and used from 1933 through approximately 1946 — which places these firmly in the pre-war era of Japanese porcelain at its most refined. We also carry the matching full dinnerware set in this pattern if you're building a collection.
Equally beautiful as a wall plate in a bedroom or powder room as it is on a table. Two available, sold individually.
