A platter with a quiet California story pressed into its backstamp.
This 14" oval platter in Fine China of Japan's pattern 6701 features blue and green grape leaves with scattered purple clusters and silver accents on white china — a cool, elegant combination that reads as both seasonal and timeless. The "MS" on the backstamp identifies it as an exclusive design for Max Schoenfeld, a Los Angeles distributor of china and pottery who worked with multiple Japanese porcelain houses and had select patterns produced exclusively for his California territory. We carry complete place settings in this pattern if you're looking to build a full set.
A beautiful platter for a grape harvest dinner, a fall table, or any occasion where the serveware should be as considered as the menu.
