A lovely gift for a sake enthusiast or anyone drawn to Japanese craft — as much a display piece as a set for entertaining.
Four hundred years of Japanese pottery craft, in a four-piece sake set. The decanter and three cups are decorated in the Imari style with a hand-painted rickshaw scene: vibrant red, green, and black with red and white flowers, grass blades, wheel spokes, and delicate gold details throughout. Asahi Pottery in Uji, Japan is one of the country's most storied kilns, where the Matsubayashi family has been making glazed pottery for nearly four centuries.
