At 9 inches, this plate works equally well as a luncheon, dinner, or generous salad plate — a lovely find for a Depression glass collector or anyone drawn to the amber glow of vintage pressed glass.
Originally produced by Federal Glass as Madrid from 1932–1939, the molds were revived in 1976 for the Bicentennial and renamed Recollection, with an embossed '76. When Federal Glass closed, Indiana Glass acquired those molds, removed the date, and continued production — this plate is from that Indiana Glass era. Whether Federal or Indiana, the pattern's geometric pressed design is unchanged, and we've photographed it thoroughly to help any serious Depression glass collector make their own determination.
