Milk glass with a gold beaded border and three sections — different in detail from the Fire King dishes you know, and better for it.
This Fire King tray occupies an interesting space in the line: it's close to the Golden Anniversary and Shell patterns but not quite either — no swirls, and that distinctive row of gold dots or beads tracing the border sets it apart from both. At 11.25" wide and oval in form, it's a generous piece that serves a full appetizer spread or a tray of holiday cookies with equal grace. Borosilicate milk glass, made in Lancaster, Ohio. Backstamped "Anchor Hocking Fire King Ware, Made in USA." Hand wash only to preserve the gold.
A beautiful hostess or housewarming gift for anyone who collects Fire King — especially appealing for the collector who already has the better-known patterns and appreciates finding something a little different. Just as useful on a vanity or dresser for organizing smaller items.
