Milk glass ruffled at the edge with clear glass — Fenton's most beloved border, doing what it does best.
Silver Crest is one of Fenton's most enduring and recognizable patterns: opaque milk glass edged in a quarter-inch rim of clear glass, here paired with deep ruffling to create the Double Crimped effect. This is a pre-1970 piece — unmarked, as Fenton didn't begin stamping its signature until around that time — making it an earlier example of the pattern that ran from 1942 to 1986. Fenton Art Glass, handmade in Williamstown, West Virginia for over a century, closed its factory in 2011; pieces like this are the real thing.
Lovely at a wedding or bridal shower table, beautiful in the powder room with small soaps, or anywhere a little quiet elegance belongs. A perennially thoughtful gift.
