The base shows a pontil mark.

A natural gift for the football fan, the 49ers or Bengals loyalist, or anyone who collects sports memorabilia that actually gets used.

Super Bowl XXIII was a rematch of Super Bowl XVI, with the 49ers and Bengals meeting again in the first Super Bowl played at Joe Robbie Stadium. With the 49ers trailing 16–13 and just over three minutes left, Joe Montana led a 92-yard drive and hit John Taylor for the winning touchdown with 34 seconds on the clock, making the final 20–16. Jerry Rice was named MVP, and the game was Bill Walsh's last as 49ers head coach. Because the glass was produced before kickoff, its champions list stops at Super Bowl XXII, which makes it a snapshot of the NFL on the eve of that finish.
