Pink roses and green leaves on warm off-white earthenware, the handle shaped like a wooden branch with a gentle groove for the finger. Quieter than bone china, warmer than porcelain. Entirely itself. Desert Rose was introduced in 1941 as Franciscan's second embossed hand-painted pattern, following Apple the year before. Together they became the company's defining work — produced for decades across multiple owners and continents, though the California originals remain the most collectible. This cup is oven safe.
