Clear pressed glass with the kind of surface detail that catches light from every angle — the Sandwich pattern was originally produced in the 19th century and revived by Indiana Glass for Tiara Exclusives, making these cups both collectible and genuinely useful. Large by English tea standards, they were made for the American coffee cup — substantial, satisfying, and unexpectedly beautiful on a table.
Indiana Glass produced Sandwich glass primarily for Tiara Exclusives, the home party retail division launched in 1970 by Lancaster Colony Corp. What distinguishes Indiana's version is the detail: rounded flowers with a single outline, and a scroll that widens at the base into a distinctive M shape. Tiara home parties ran until 1998, after which the pattern was discontinued. Cups only — no saucers. Set of 4.
A lovely find for a Tiara or Indiana Glass collector, a great replacement if you've lost cups from your set, or a charming addition to a table that appreciates the unexpected. Beautiful for everyday use or a casual gathering.
