This swizzle stick is topped with a large Maine lobster figural top, with "Anthony's" rendered in cursive script and "Pier 4" set in a contrasting block font below it.

Anthony's Pier 4 opened on the South Boston waterfront in 1963, the flagship restaurant of Anthony Athanas, who had immigrated to the United States from Albania as a child and worked his way up to become one of Boston's most celebrated restaurateurs. Within a few years, Pier 4 was one of the highest-grossing restaurants in the country, drawing presidents, celebrities, and Boston's political elite to a dining room that overlooked the harbor on three sides — along with a devoted following for its complimentary popovers, served tableside from a basket with tongs. Athanas died in 2005, and his sons kept the restaurant running until it finally closed in 2013, ending a 50-year run as one of Boston's most iconic dining destinations.
