The rich, high-gloss brown body is set off by a lighter ivory-tan band along the rim and lid — the result of dipping the bisque piece into a secondary glaze rather than letting it drip freely, giving this line its clean, controlled look rather than the true "drip" effect the marketing name suggests. The underside is marked Hull, Oven Proof, U.S.A.

Oven-safe and generously sized, it's as at home holding sugar as it is serving individual portions of mac and cheese, beans, or chili. Hand wash recommended to preserve the glaze.

Hull Pottery Company was founded in 1905 in Crooksville, Ohio, and grew into one of America's most beloved art potteries. Introduced in 1960, the Brown Drip glaze — known to collectors as Mirror Brown — became Hull's most commercially successful line, produced continuously until the pottery closed in 1986. It remains one of the most actively collected mid-century American ceramic patterns today, with pieces bearing the leaping deer motif especially prized among collectors.
