- Details: An absolutely beautiful oval glass box with a frosted orchid on lid. The Golden Orchid design, was first sold in 2002, and was made for several years after (in 2007 Mikasa discontinued the Studio Nova line). The lid has a beautiful embossed frosted orchid, with "gold ribbons" along the top. The bottom piece is pleated all around the sides creating a very beautiful effect. This Orchid pattern was also made in clear (not frosted) and without the gold stripes, just a gold rim, of course we think this is the prettiest of all the Mikasa "Golden Orchid" glass boxes. So many uses for these, we think it makes an excellent candy dish, for jewelry on a dressing table, or lovely on its own on a side table or mantel. Great for the office to corral small items like paper clips, pens, notes, etc. Wonderful gift for an orchid grower!
