Details: Authentic vintage soup crocks from California USA Pottery, crafted in an off-white, linear pattern ceramic, with lid and dual "ear" handles. All the lids have a small "cut-out notch" for a spoon. This set of four bowls exemplifies mid-century dinnerware design, perfect for French onion soup, bisques, thick stews, and consommés, or everyday dining. Each piece bears the maker's mark, reflecting quality craftsmanship from an era when functional tableware was built to last. Ideal for collectors seeking genuine vintage American pottery or anyone appreciating timeless ceramic design with practical appeal. These can also be used for individual pot pies and casseroles. Excellent for Mid Century art pottery collectors. Collectors, please note the markings and style: "Calif USA 857", plus these have a linear patterned knob on lid and cut-out notch" for a spoon. We also carry similar, but not identical bowls, issued in 1940's, (also #857), which have a rounded knob on lid, no cut-out for spoon, and shorter handles.

Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition. One bowl has a minor chip on the rim. Otherwise, there are no chips or cracks on any of these bowls or lids.
