- Details: This shabby-chic framed silhouette features features a Victorian couple, the woman playing the piano, wearing a floral gown, while the gentleman listens. The background has an off-white tone, the frame is wood, in a light beige. There is a rudimentary piece of cardboard and thread for hanging on back, nails are exposed. This is what we would call "rustic", there are several condition issues, please see details below. If you love the look of time-worn pieces, then this one should be fine, we felt it could still be enjoyed in the right setting. During the 1920's through the 1950's there was an increased nostalgia for the Victorian age, and these reverse painted silhouettes became very popular. Today, silhouettes are back in style and can be mixed with other portraits, among wall plates, or displayed on their own.

- Condition: Vintage - Used. Fair Vintage Condition. We noticed the background had some texture, but it's not intentional, we believe the pattern is caused by damage from age or perhaps improper storage. Also, the black paint is worn in two areas, both photographed for you. Nails are exposed on back. Lastly, there is lots of paint loss on the wood frame. If you love the look of time-worn pieces, then this one will be perfect. If you're looking for something a bit more elegant then we recommend skipping this one and looking at our other silhouettes available. Priced accordingly.
