The beauty of a bonsai in perpetual bloom — priced honestly for what it is.
A jade glass bonsai tree with pink flowers in a celadon ceramic planter, made in China in the 1980s. The form is lovely — the pale green glass branches, the pink blooms, the classic celadon planter all work beautifully together. There are condition issues: the top flower is missing one petal, and three leaves are broken. Everything photographed, everything disclosed. Priced accordingly.
On a shelf or side table where the imperfections aren't the focus — the overall composition still reads beautifully from a normal viewing distance. For an Asian art collector who doesn't mind a little wear, or anyone who wants a bonsai that will never need watering.
