A lady in blue with a hand fan, a gentleman in orange and gold — framed by the most extravagant 22K gold floral filigree border you'll find on a saucer this size. Please note there is a chip on the back edge and light wear on the gold — details in the condition notes below.

The Fragonard style takes its name from Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732–1806), the French Rococo painter whose fêtes galantes — scenes of elegantly dressed figures in garden settings — became one of the most enduring visual languages in decorative porcelain. Pieces in this style have been produced by many makers across many eras; this one carries no backstamp, but the quality of the gilding and the porcelain body point toward Harker Pottery. A saucer-only piece, the cup long separated from it — but the saucer itself is the more decorative of the two.

A lovely wall accent, a collector's find, or a grandmillennial detail on a shelf or tray.
