This pair of Nikko "Christmastime" salt and pepper shakers, decorated in a simple holly and berries branch, has never left its original box.  Please note these show crazing, detailed below, so review photos closely before purchasing

  • Maker: NIKKO
  • Pattern: Christmastime
  • Materials: Ironstone / Ceramic
  • Dimensions: 3.5 inches Tall.
  • Origin: Japan
  • Era: Vintage, 1990s
  • Condition: Very good — both shakers show visible crazing, otherwise perfect. Please review photos closely before purchasing, as all sales are final.

Rather than the collection's full Christmas tree design, this set carries a simpler holly and berries branch — a quieter companion piece within Nikko's holiday line. The set includes a traditional 3-hole and 4-hole design to keep salt and pepper distinct at a glance. Both pieces have developed the same delicate, all-over glaze crazing common to aged Japanese ceramics — a fine web of hairline lines that reads as authentic vintage character rather than damage.

Whether completing a cherished Christmastime set or adding a touch of retro charm to your winter table, these shakers are a sweet reminder of Christmases past.

NIKKO is a Japanese manufacturer of fine ceramics, known for its tableware products. It was founded in 1908 in Kanazawa, Ishikawa by Lord Maeda and other local nobles. The Maeda lords especially fostered arts and crafts, and made Kanazawa a cultural center like Tokyo and Kyoto. The company originally gained fame for its ironstone ceramics. Following WWII, NIKKO expanded into Japanese households, and by the 1970s, they introduced advanced fine bone china to their lineup. Today, they handle all production in-house, are global leaders in bone china, and remain the only manufacturer in Japan. Nikko's "Christmastime" and "Happy Holidays" are two of the most beloved and collected holiday dinnerware lines in the world.

Pairs beautifully with our Nikko Happy Holidays pieces — the same design, in different shapes and pieces. Browse our shop to build a matching set.
