This tray-style puzzle illustrates "Pat-a-Cake, Pat-a-Cake, Baker's Man," with artwork by Eulalie Banks for The P&M Co. (later reissued under the full Platt & Munk name in 1952). The pieces themselves are part of the fun — several are cut into the shapes of figures and objects from the rhyme itself, turning the puzzle into a small game of recognition for little hands. Banks illustrated over fifty children's classics in her career, and her gentle style shines through in every cut.
