• Details:  Adorably sweet image from Susan B. Pearce, (1878 – 1980), part of her Childhood Fairytale Prints Collection, this is "Autumn".  Image is printed on hard board, encased in a round, hand painted, gesso frame.  Signed by artist on the bottom left.  The back retains the original publisher's tag, faded but still readable, "Publication of Edward Gross Co", (1906-c. 1963).  It is ready to hang by a rudimentary wire on back, still useful, but you may want to replace it. There are several condition issues, please see below for details.  Although old and weary, this print can still brings timeless charm to a baby's nursery or any space celebrating childhood fairytales and the innocence of children.  Ideal for collectors of antique art.  Nice addition to your Fall wall decor.

• Condition:  Antique - Used.  This piece is over 100 years old!  We are rating it "Good Antique Condition", considering its age, but there are issues.  No glass.  There is wear all over, slight fading, small rub mark towards the top, the paper is torn on the right side, and several water stain marks.  The frame has nicks: one very small in front, larger one on the side.  The backing paper has suffered the most, lots of tape keeping it together.  There's a rudimentary wire, useful for hanging but you may want to replace it.  All photographed for you.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  All Sales Final.  Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.   

Susan Beatrice Pearse was a British painter and illustrator of children's books.  Born in 1878 London, UK.  She studied at New Cross Art School and the Royal College of Art.  She is best known for her work on the Ameliaranne series of children's books.  She also worked on Arthur Mee’s Children’s Encyclopedia, an advertising campaign for Start-rite shoes, as well as illustrating greeting and post cards.  She died in 1980, just short of 102nd birthday.
