One plate. A full bloom at center, petals soft and unhurried. The kind of rose that looks painted from life.
Norleans was an American import label that sourced fine porcelain from Japan through the mid-20th century — the name a contraction of "North Orleans," the Chicago street where their offices sat. Old Rose was exactly what it sounds like: a classic, unrushed floral in the tradition of English and European rose china, rendered in Japanese porcelain with a lightness the originals rarely achieved.
Display it on a wall, use it on a breakfast tray, or tuck it into a gift for someone who loves roses without needing a reason.
