One bold blue flower, a high-gloss glaze, and a cheerful round shape — Italian pottery at its most inviting.
FTD gifted this hand-painted Italian ceramic pitcher sometime in the 1970s or 1980s, and it has the warm, confident quality that Italian pottery of this era does so well. A single large blue flower with green and brown leaves decorates the front, under a high-shine glaze that gives it a presence larger than its 5-inch height. The wide spout and round body make it as useful as it is decorative. Some light crazing and one tiny chip on the handle are noted; hand wash only to preserve the glaze.
Lovely on a breakfast table, a kitchen shelf, or holding a few fresh stems. A warm and affordable gift for anyone who loves Mediterranean style or hand-painted ceramics.
