A charming addition to a sewing room, or a thoughtful gift for a seamstress or tailor.

Jameco Metal Products Co. filed its trademark in Brooklyn on September 11, 1962, founded by Jean Ting Margolis, who began her career as an assistant buyer at Bloomingdale's before starting her own manufacturing company. Jameco became known for novelty metal housewares — picture frames, silent butlers, filigree trays, vanity mirrors — dressed up with rope detailing, faux pearls, and rhinestones, and sold largely through department stores. The company operated for decades before quietly closing in the late 1990s. This little jeweled slipper, with its Aladdin's-shoe silhouette, is a playful survivor of that era.
