"Pretty Kitty Kelly" was a CBS radio drama series that ran from 1937 to 1940, and this pinback was produced to promote it — one of the earliest examples of broadcast media merchandise. The side border is marked "J. B. Carroll Co., Chicago," a well-known pinback manufacturer of the era. Kitty Kelly herself was a New York-born performer who began her career with the Ziegfeld Follies and later appeared in television series including Bonanza, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Batman, and Perry Mason. She died in 1968. The front of the pin is in good vintage condition; there is rust on the back, as is common with pins of this age. Original, not a reproduction.
