A pinwheel of red enamel petals, layered in two rows and arranged in a spiral that gives the whole piece a sense of motion. Red rhinestones at the center anchor it with a little sparkle. This is classic Mod-era Flower Power design — graphic, confident, and somehow just as current now as it was in 1968.
Unsigned, 1960s–1970s, and in very good vintage condition. A note: up close, the enamel is slightly thicker on some petals than others — a characteristic of hand-applied enamel work from this era, photographed for your review. Not noticeable in wear.
Wonderful on a hat, a denim jacket, a scarf, or a spring dress. A great gift for a vintage collector, a Mod enthusiast, or anyone who believes red is always the right choice.
