Two cranes in gold, moving among flowers with white enamel water beneath them and yellow enamel petals — the whole scene set against a black damascened ground and framed in a gold-tone filigree border accented with hand-applied red rhinestones. The bail is a delicate floral form. The enamel work is flawless throughout.

Damascene — known in Spain as Toledoware — is the ancient art of inlaying gold and silver into darkened metal, a tradition associated with the city of Toledo and prized for its intricate detail and depth. This piece is from the 1980s Spanish revival of the technique, and it shows the craft at its best. Highly collectible, increasingly hard to find in this condition.

A wonderful gift for a Toledoware collector, a crane enthusiast, a lover of Asian-inspired art, or anyone who wants to wear something genuinely one of a kind.
