America's Main Street, established 1926 — on a mug that looks like it's done the whole drive.
U.S. Route 66 was established November 11, 1926, marketed as the best route from Chicago to the California coast, and has been embedded in American mythology ever since — through the Dust Bowl migrations of the 1930s, the postwar road trip era, and decades of books, films, and songs. This ceramic souvenir mug from the 1980s–1990s captures that spirit with the classic "Route 66 Mother Road" design: winged cars set against the bold Route 66 sign. Appears unused, excellent condition throughout.
A natural gift for a road tripper, an Americana collector, or anyone who's ever felt the particular pull of the open road.
