Fitz & Floyd introduced the Yamadori pattern in 1977, drawing on the Sometsuke tradition of Japanese blue-and-white underglaze painting — this footed mug carries a blue bird perched on a cherry branch. Sometsuke blue and white — Fitz & Floyd's most quietly beautiful pattern.
