A rare find from America's 200th birthday — this bicentennial mug by Berggren Trayner is not easily come by today. Made especially for the 1776-1976 celebration, it features a bold Federal blue eagle with a red, white, and blue shield on its chest, red and blue stars along the base, and a flowing red ribbon — the same striking design repeated on both sides. Signed "Berggren" on the side and stamped "USA" in the clay. A charming and characterful piece of American pottery history, perfect for a patriotic display, July 4th vignette, or America 250th anniversary shelf. ⚠️ Please note: The handle has been previously repaired (not by us). In 1986 they sold their designs and formula to Bergquist Imports in Minnesota — making original Berggren-marked pieces like this one a genuine collector's find.
