This Nikko "Happy Holidays" mint tray has sat unused in its original box since the 1980s, its ironstone finish and gilded green trim as crisp as the day it was packed.

• Condition: Very good — lots of crazing visible; in original box. No cracks, chips, or scratches. The box is good for storage, but not great for gift-giving.  Please review photos closely before purchasing, as all sales are final.

At its center is Nikko's signature Victorian-era Christmas tree, trimmed with candles and garlands, a teddy bear resting among the presents at the base, and the traditional star at the top, all framed by a vibrant green border. Made from premium ironstone, it's fully dishwasher and microwave safe.

NIKKO is a Japanese manufacturer of fine ceramics, known for its tableware products. It was founded in 1908 in Kanazawa, Ishikawa by Lord Maeda and other local nobles. The Maeda lords especially fostered arts and crafts, and made Kanazawa a cultural center like Tokyo and Kyoto. The company originally gained fame for its ironstone ceramics. Following WWII, NIKKO expanded into Japanese households, and by the 1970s, they introduced advanced fine bone china to their lineup. Today, they handle all production in-house, are global leaders in bone china, and remain the only manufacturer in Japan. Nikko's "Christmastime" and "Happy Holidays" are two of the most beloved and collected holiday dinnerware lines in the world.
