Two Boy Scouts, a red Coca-Cola cooler, and a tagline that says everything: "Wholesome Refreshment."
Ink blotters were the desk staple of the fountain pen age — absorbent cardboard cards kept flat on desktops, distributed by businesses as miniature advertisements that earned their place through daily usefulness. Coca-Cola produced some of the most collectible, and this 1942 example is a particularly rich one: the Boy Scouts imagery crosses three major collecting categories at once. Found in an old bottling plant, these are New Old Stock — unused, uncreased, corners intact. The 1942 date places them squarely in wartime America, when Coca-Cola's association with wholesome American values was no accident.
Perfect for a Coca-Cola collector, a Boy Scout memorabilia enthusiast, or anyone who appreciates the quiet charm of mid-century promotional design. A genuinely surprising gift.
