The gray and polished floral and leaf cutting is the signature of Mystic, a pattern made between 1950 and 1966. The glass is blown, with a cut design that shows well against the light.

A good choice for anyone replacing a missing Mystic glass, or for a Tiffin collector adding one more favorite.

Tiffin Glass began in 1888, when the Beatty & Sons glass factory moved from Steubenville to Tiffin, Ohio. The plant grew into a leading maker of blown stemware, tumblers and cut glass, and 1945 to 1955 is considered its high point. Mystic was made in that era. Interpace, the parent company of Franciscan china, bought Tiffin in December 1968 and added "Franciscan Crystal" labels in 1969, which is why the pattern is often listed as Tiffin-Franciscan. The furnaces closed on May 1, 1980, the date collectors treat as the end of the company.
