This is an original Hallmark greeting card, not a reproduction. The front reads "Happy Thanksgiving," and inside it says "You're thought about often!" It was never signed and never sent.
A lovely card to actually send, or a small seasonal collectible for anyone who decorates with intention.
Hallmark grew out of a postcard business started in Kansas City in 1910 by 18-year-old Joyce C. Hall, which soon became Hall Brothers and moved from postcards into greeting cards. In 1928 the company began printing the Hallmark name on the back of every card, borrowed from the hallmark that London goldsmiths used as a mark of quality, and it made the name official in 1954. By the 1980s and 1990s its seasonal cards had become small illustrated worlds, populated by animals with an endearing, human quality that made them hard to throw away.
