The P.F. Volland Company of Joliet, Illinois (1908–1959) was one of America's most beloved greeting card and gift publishers, known for their Sunny Books and the original Raggedy Ann and Andy books. Their cards had a warmth and draftsmanship that set them apart. This Father's Day card features Dad sitting contentedly in his easy chair, opening gifts on his special day — lithographed in the cheerful style of 1940s American illustration. New Old Stock, blank, never used, includes original envelope. Both card and envelope have the light yellowing of eighty-plus years, which only adds to the charm.
