This card depicts an angel singing from her hymnal, a bracelet of golden stars at her wrist, signed by Charlot Byj and printed on fine linen paper by Hampshire (HPP #342-2). It comes complete with its original envelope; some glue marks are visible on the back, and both are lightly yellowed with age.

A rare treat for a Charlot Byj admirer or greeting card collector, and a beautiful gift for anyone drawn to gilded, vintage religious art.

Charlot Byj (1920–1983) was an American illustrator whose greeting card and advertising art of the 1940s later inspired a beloved line of Goebel figurines. This soft-colored angel card, signed by Byj and printed on fine linen paper by Hampshire, is genuinely scarce and a favorite among collectors of her work.

Pair it with our other Charlot Byj angel cards — Angels Embracing and Angel Praying — to complete the set.
