Made by Libbey and marked on the bottom, this set of four tapered Tia Maria glass mugs was a gift-with-purchase from the liqueur brand in the 1980s. Part glass, part mug, entirely its own thing.

  • Maker: Libbey (for Tia Maria)
  • Materials: Glass
  • Dimensions: 6.0" tall; 3.0" diameter (top opening); set of 4
  • Origin: USA (Libbey)
  • Era: 1980s
  • Condition: Vintage — used, excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or scratches. Enamel writing in perfect condition. Please review all photos; all sales final.

It's perfect for hot or cold coffee cocktails — Espresso Martinis, White Russians, Irish-style coffees, or simply poured over ice — a conversation piece and a functional bar set in one.

These tapered glasses narrow toward the bottom, with handles, weighted bottoms, and a rounded foot for stability, the wordmark "Tia Maria" written in cursive brown enamel on each glass. Tia Maria's origin story is worthy of the glasses it inspired: in 1946, Morris Cargill connected with Dr. Ken Evans to develop a coffee liqueur recipe similar to one his aunt used to make, ultimately naming it after her — "Tia" being Spanish for aunt.

We also carry a smoked amber Tia Maria set with copper holders — see our other listings, or browse our shop for more vintage barware.
