This pattern has no official name, so you’ll see it sold as Oak & Maple Leaf, Yellow Maple & Black Oak Leaf, and Frosted Autumn Leaf. Each glass is blown, with bold stylized leaves on a frosted ground, and every one carries Libbey’s L on the base. The two-tone leaf wrap, pale yellow above and black below, is what sets it apart from the more common gold and silver foliage frosted glasses. These are sized as traditional water tumblers / beverage glass, can also be used as a generous juice glass.
These suit a fall table, a mid-century bar cart, or a gift for someone who loves retro drinkware. The set is matched and ready to use as is.
Libbey Glass Company traces its roots to the New England Glass Company of Massachusetts. Edward Drummond Libbey moved the business to Toledo, Ohio, in 1888, and it became Libbey Glass Company in 1892. It grew into one of America’s best-known makers of tableware and barware, and its frosted, hand-decorated glasses became a signature of mid-century entertaining.
