Two glasses. Frosted almost to the rim. A gold eagle on each side — olive branches, ribbon, the whole ceremony.
This is a set of two vintage MCM highball glasses with a gold eagle motif on a frosted ground. The eagle is centered within a gold circle outlined by olive branches with a gold ribbon — the same design mirrored on both sides. Circa 1950s–1960s. Maker unknown. The pattern has been loosely attributed to Libbey, but no authoritative source confirms it — three known Libbey gold eagle patterns exist, and this isn't any of them. If you have information, we'd genuinely love to know.
At 5.5 inches tall with a 2.75-inch opening, these are proper highballs. Very slight gold wear on the circle of one glass — photographed and priced accordingly. No chips, cracks, or scratches on either.
A handsome pair for a patriotic collector, a mid-century bar cart, or anyone who appreciates the particular confidence of a gold eagle on frosted glass.
