One glass. The 117th Kentucky Derby. Frosted with red, blue, yellow, and green. And a detail that serious collectors notice: this is one of the last glasses ever made by Harry M. Stevens Inc.

This is the official mint julep glass from the 117th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, May 4, 1991. Frosted glass with bright multicolor design. The front reads: "Kentucky Derby 117, May 4, 1991, Churchill Downs, Louisville, KY." The back lists all past winners since 1875, with 1991 blank. Manufactured by Harry M. Stevens Inc., Cranbury, NJ — one of the last few glasses the company made before Aramark acquired them in December 1994. One piece available.

Harry M. Stevens Inc. was the oldest concession business in the United States, a family-owned company for over five generations that had serviced Yankee Stadium, Giants Stadium, Churchill Downs, Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park, Candlestick Park, and the Houston Astrodome. They had been making Kentucky Derby glasses since 1875. This is a late-era Stevens glass — the provenance is stamped right on it.
