Every surface of this jar tells a story — if you know where to look.

The Gold Imari palette is instantly recognizable: deep cobalt, iron red, and lavish gold on fine translucent porcelain. But what sets this piece apart is the intentionality of its decoration. The Hishi diamond pattern speaks to prosperity; the Karakusa scrollwork to eternity and luck; the Kiku chrysanthemums to longevity and the Imperial family; the Ume plum blossoms to purity and protection; the central orchid to rarity and refinement. Each motif was chosen with purpose. The lid and finial continue the pattern with cherry blossoms and floral borders — nothing left unconsidered. Made in Japan in fine, hand-wash-only porcelain with excellent translucency.

A meaningful gift for collectors of Japanese ceramics, Imari enthusiasts, or anyone who loves intentional, symbol-rich decorative objects. Beautiful on a mantle, a bookshelf, or as the anchor of a Chinoiserie vignette.
