Details: This is such an adorable tin box! Shaped like an old one-room, country schoolhouse, it has all the charm and nostalgia you could want. The sides look like red clapboard and you can see through each little window the different goings-on in the school. There is snow all around and swirls that make it look as though the wind is howling outside but it's warm and toasty inside. The roof is slanted (lid) with a cute bell gable over the front door. The sign over the door reads: "Walnut Street School". (Did you know there's a school in NY with that same name?). One of the sides has the last known box design for Brite-Tone Jumbo Crayons circa 1950's- 1958, however, we believe these tins were made in the late 1980's, could be older. It's a great tin, can be part of a tin village, perfect to form a Holiday or Christmas Village. This tin is empty. Great gift for a tin collector and a great place to store crayons, of course!
