This limited edition tin shows a vintage Christmas snowy winter scene of a small village and a large Christmas tree being decorated, with sleighs full of people and houses with smoke rising from their chimneys. As with many of Redlin's paintings, this one takes place at twilight, with the orange glow of a just-set sun in the sky. The tin is red and gold with the Schwan's name on the top and sides, bordered in a pattern of swirls and pinecones.
Great for country or farmhouse decor, or traditional Americana style. A wonderful gift for a tin collector or someone who loves the artist.
Terry Redlin (1937–2016) was born in Watertown, South Dakota and became one of America's most beloved artists, celebrated for his outdoor and wildlife scenes painted in his signature twilight palette. U.S. ART magazine named him "America's Most Popular Artist" every year from 1991 to 1998 and inducted him into their Hall of Fame in 1992.
We also carry the "America, America" tin by the same artist — browse our shop for more vintage Christmas and Americana tins to round out your collection.
