This cylindrical biscuit tin from West Germany is a standout — the red crackle finish gives it a texture and depth unusual for tins of this era, and the decoration is generous: roses on three panels, elaborate golden swirl and flower borders at top and bottom, and a pretty round knob finial on the lid. Embossed on the bottom: Container Made in Western Germany. Light wear on the lid border and a small paint chip near the seam, both photographed. No dents. The "Made in Western Germany" stamp dates this piece between the end of WWII and German reunification in 1990.
A beautiful display piece for the German tin collector or anyone who wants a warm, richly colored accent in their home. Lovely filled with dried flowers, rolling storage, or simply on its own.
