Three figures, each over 14 inches tall — Fu Xing bearing happiness and good fortune, Lu Xing the god of career success and prosperity, Shou Xing the beloved Old Man of the South Pole with his peach of longevity. The robes are covered in moriage work and heavy gilding; the faces are beautifully painted. At this scale, in this detail, they command a room.

Fu, Lu, and Shou are among the most recognized figures in Chinese culture, displayed in homes, shops, and offices around the world to bring prosperity, status, and long life — the three attributes of a good life in Taoist tradition. In Feng Shui they belong in the living room, dining room, or office, placed at eye level facing the entrance, never in the kitchen or bathroom. The center figure, Lu Xing, has one side of his hat broken — photographed and priced accordingly. These are heavy and will require substantial packaging.

An impressive set for a Feng Shui home, a chinoiserie collection, or anyone who appreciates the depth of Chinese decorative tradition. A meaningful gift for a housewarming, milestone birthday, or new business.
