Two Victorian children, each 11 inches tall, in soft pastels of peach, violet, and pale yellow — the girl in a wide-brimmed hat with a feather, golden shoes, a gown with tiny raised gold dots; the boy with matching violet feather, gold shoes, the same delicate dots on his trousers. Their faces are sweet and precisely painted. Every finger is intact. After a century and a half, not a chip, not a scratch, nothing missing.

Porzellanfabrik Unger, Schneider & Co was founded in 1859 in Gräfenthal, Germany, and their pieces are dated by the mark they carry. The "arrow and G" mark with "IG DEP 8357" places these between 1879 — when the mark was officially registered with the Ducal District Court — and 1886, when a crown was added. The model number 8357 is incised on the back of both pieces, confirming they are a true pair. A rare find in pristine condition.

A significant antique for a serious collector of German porcelain, Victorian decorative arts, or bisque figurines. An exceptional gift for a birthday, anniversary, or any occasion that deserves something genuinely rare.
