Three white geese, smooth and sculptural, moving together in the unhurried way of geese. Sanbo Porcelain made this in Spain in the 1970s — fluid lines, a sleek glaze, and the restrained pastel coloring characteristic of the Valencia ceramics tradition. Far from a traditional ornate figurine, this is a quietly sculptural piece that looks as at home in a modern interior as it does in a farmhouse kitchen. The original Sanbo foil sticker is intact — a mark of authenticity for the discerning collector.
Sanbo Porcelain (Porcelanas Sanbo, de Aldaia) was founded in the mid-1960s near Valencia, a major hub for Spanish ceramics. Their range spanned minimalist pieces, intricate figurines, busts, and vases — frequently compared to Lladró, though with their own distinct portfolio. The factory closed sometime between the late 1990s and early 2000s following the decline of the Valencian porcelain market. Retired and increasingly collectible.
A lovely year-round piece for a mantle, shelf, or side table. A wonderful gift for a farmhouse décor enthusiast, a bird lover, a Hispanophile, or a collector of Spanish porcelain.
