They're mid-first-dance — the bride in a bisque porcelain gown with hand painted florals and platinum accents, the groom beside her in high-gloss white and platinum, the whole piece a study in elegance. At 8.5 inches tall this is a substantial figurine, and substantial enough to double as a wedding cake topper. From Lenox's Wedding Promises Collection, titled "First Dance," stamped on the bottom with the Lenox logo. There is a manufacturing flaw on her arm and a dark mark on his head, both photographed for your review; the platinum is otherwise in excellent condition, no chips, no scratches.
Lenox was founded in Trenton, New Jersey in 1889 by Walter Scott Lenox, and became the first American china company to produce wares for the White House, beginning with Woodrow Wilson in 1918. The Wedding Promises Collection is among their most beloved gift lines, and "First Dance" is one of its signature pieces.
A beautiful wedding gift, bridal shower keepsake, anniversary memento, or cake topper for a couple who appreciates something with real history and quality behind it.
